Michael McMillan ARB

Michael is a highly accomplished Architect with extensive experience leading the design and technical delivery of complex residential, mixed-use and hospitality developments across all RIBA work stages. A graduate of the University of Ulster and Queen’s University Belfast, he combines a passion for design excellence with exceptional technical expertise, enabling him to successfully bridge the gap between architectural vision and buildable construction solutions.

An advanced Autodesk Revit practitioner, Michael has led the development and coordination of BIM models on numerous multi-unit new-build, retrofit and refurbishment projects, managing the integration of architectural, structural and building services information to deliver fully coordinated technical design packages. His experience spans bespoke residential projects, luxury homes, large-scale apartment developments, office-to-residential conversions and complex retrofit schemes, with a particular focus on technical detailing, buildability and multidisciplinary coordination.

As a project leader, Michael is recognised for his collaborative approach, clear communication and ability to manage multidisciplinary consultant teams through demanding technical programmes. He provides strong leadership during design development, technical coordination and construction, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards. His meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving enable him to identify and resolve technical challenges early, reducing project risk and maintaining programme certainty.

Michael is passionate about producing architecture that is both innovative and technically robust, combining thoughtful design with practical construction knowledge to achieve outstanding project outcomes. Outside of architecture, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, cycling and the occasional session of old-school computer games.
