SPECTRUM HOUSE
Make

Spectrum House, situated in the bustling town of Woking, was reimagined by MCL Architecture with a brief focused on maximising the potential of the existing office building. The project aimed to convert the building into contemporary apartments while adding an additional floor to enhance its overall scale and appeal. MCL Architecture embraced this challenge, merging modern living with the building's distinctive post-modern features to create an attractive architectural landmark.

Create

MCL Architecture leveraged the existing structure's unique characteristics, preserving its post-modern elements while introducing sleek, contemporary design features. The conversiontransformed the former office spaces into stylish apartments that cater to the needs of modern residents. The new top floor not only increases the building’s height but also features stunning views of the surrounding area. Balconies and large windows were integrated into the design, allowing natural light to flood the interiors and enhancing the overall living experience.

Live

With the completion of Spectrum House, Woking now has a remarkable addition to its architectural landscape. Residents enjoy the blend of historical charm and modern conveniences, all within the heart of the town. The apartments are designed to provide comfort and style, promoting a vibrant community atmosphere. This project stands as a testament to the potential of adaptive reuse in architecture, showing how thoughtful design can breathe new life into an existing building, making Spectrum House a desirable destination for urban living.
